Lucas's 3rd Birthday

Ok, I'm finally getting pics off my cell phone...and realized I forgot to blog about a cute lil man's special day.  Here's the pictures from our nephew's 3rd birthday.  I did mention we have ALOT of birthdays this time of year in our family, right?  Stay tuned, there's more to come!

We have a FENCE!

Last weekend, Jeremy and I were able to get our new fence built, despite the rain and bad concrete!  We ended up replacing one of the posts we had already set, because the concrete had cracked into 4 pieces and it just didn't seem stable.  Thanks to our neighbor, we didn't have to buy a new post!

Next step:  build the gate and the raised beds.  It's getting closer every weekend!  Whoot!  Soon, we'll be picking out seeds and planting!

Good reminder for the day

Sometimes I just need a reminder that as a soul, I am complete and whole.  Right now.  This moment.  I am just right and have everything that I need.  I love this quote and recently read it again.  I thought I would post it here too.

Project Veggie Garden, the beginnings of a fence

I'm so excited!!! The garden is starting to feel real.  We got most of the materials we will need purchased this weekend. And we started building the new fence.  This spring has been super wet and dreary....but this project is helping me keep a positive outlook as I dream of all the fun to come.

Soccer Season has started!

The Blue Flame is back for spring!  Jeremy is coaching again and Derick has 5 new players to have fun with!  They've had two games so far and you can tell that this team is learning fast.  I've noticed a new level of playing from Derick and I can't wait to watch him continue to get better! His dream is to get a goal this year in a game.  He was REALLY close this week, and had an assist with another player.  Soon, my son, very soon!

Spring is in the air

....and we just had to go soak it up this morning. The sun was out so we headed to our local beach park and spent a couple of hours playing, exploring, and eating lunch. It was a perfect morning.

What a COOL weekend!

I had a really fun weekend, this weekend. It was filled with lots of my favorite things! Friends, Family, a SUPER moon, and of course more progress on our project veggie garden. Here are some picture highlights!

The SUPER moon was amazing. After dinner with my Dad in Shoreline, we saw it rise as we drove home. When we arrived home, we grabbed the binoculars and a good camera and tried to capture it's amazing beauty. Wow. Of course, these don't even come close to how it was with our own eyes.

Sunday morning I spent some time on the trail with Jenn. Then J2D2 headed down to Gig Harbor to celebrate Riley's 7th Birthday.
