Camping at Ohanapecosh

5 families descended on one of Mt Rainer's most beautiful campgrounds over the weekend, and J2D2 got to join in the fun.  There was lots of beautiful green trees, talks around the campfire, and running free for the kids.  We took a beautiful hike on Saturday to Silver Falls and it was breathtaking!

  Last summer Derick was sick on the hike and it took all of our strength as a family to get to the top!  This time, he was his usual self and running up front with the other kids.

Happy Father's Day

We celebrated all the Dad's in our lives with two fun gatherings. We had the Peery clan over for a yummy BBQ on Saturday night where we also celebrated May and June birthdays.

 Happy Birthday to Jake, Jill, Jordan, and Timmy.

Then, this morning we shared a delish breakfast with the Sommerdorf/Kunz clan.

 Getting all 4 kids to look at once is a challenge....so here are two of the best ones I got.  :)

 Happy Father's day to one of the BEST dads.  I'm so proud to be your daughter.  I love you, Papa!

Vacation to Wapato Point

Last fall, my parents arranged for a summer kick off vacation for all of us at Wapato Point, in Chelan WA.  However, due to my father's health, they could not join us.  We were all pretty bummed about that, but we couldn't let the rental go to waste. So, Jodi and I took our families for some R&R and some sunshine.  We got both!!!  Yay!!!  It is such a  joy to see the kids play together, they sure do love each other.  And we really enjoy the Wapato Point community.  It's got all you need for a fun family vacation.

 The kids did alot of bike riding, and the flat driveway leading to a quiet culdesac was the perfect spot to spin those wheels.

Pool time; the house we rented was right across the street from an out door pool.  The weather was still a little cool for being wet, but we enjoyed it anyway. 

 I celebrated my 38th birthday while in Chelan, so we had dinner out at a local Mexican place.  It was good food and great company.

 Mini golf was a must.  Derick and Cooper were awesome, well at everything but the waiting for your turn part.  Still, we had a great time together.

On our last day, the four of us took a long walk/bike ride and found a fun beach for skipping rocks.

We look forward to going back again someday.  What fun!

Last Spring soccer game

The Blue Flame has played it's last soccer game for the spring season.  We sure enjoyed this season of watching the kids continue to grow and learn.  Derick finally made his dream come true; he completed his first GOAL during a game on Sunday, June 12th.  We are so proud of our little soccer stud.  Here's some pics from the final game and after the coach's presentations.

Veggie garden update

I'm so in love with my garden! Who knew what a kick I would get out of growing, picking, and eating my own lettuce! And everything else is starting to take off. I'm so excited for what’s to come.
