Jeremy decided yesterday that Derick was ready for a big boy bed. YIKES! So, off came the crib railing, yesterday afternoon. Being the handy man that he is, Jeremy built a side rail that slides under the mattress to keep Derick from rolling out of bed. It works really well and Derick was SO excited!!! As soon as that crib wall was off, he was in and out of that bed. Get in, throw everything on the floor. Get out, put it all back into bed again. It was so cute to watch him get so excited about his big boy bed. I was a little nervous about how bedtime would go, but it all worked out really well. Derick was tired, and after stories, he laid down, listened to my songs, and went to sleep. Stayed there all night. Today, at nap, same story. I am SO proud of him. I guess the timing was right. I’m not sure it will stay this way, but I’m going to enjoy it for now.
