Today was a better day than the last few. Derick has slept through the night the last two nights, and I sure do enjoy getting all that uninterrupted sleep. My tanks stay fuller, longer, during the day when I've had 8 hours of sleep. Ahhhh....it's nice. My friends with older babies tell me to enjoy it while it lasts, cuz once I get used to it, Derick will change again. And so, I am. :) One of the newest things about the baby is he's decided he doesn't like his car seat. I'm not sure why, but it sure does make car trips a hassle. Just the 15 mins to the park today was a long drive for mommy. Yikes! I'm going to have to learn to listen to him cry....I know, but damn, that sucks. He's also discovered his hands....and that they are attached to him! I caught him staring at them today, it's adorable. Derick's dexterity is increasing daily with those hands, too. He's grasping toys and bringing them to his mouth for taste testing. Sometimes, I get challenged by his constant need for new scenes. I get bored with the same old toys and songs. So, I'm always on the hunt for something else new to show him. We walk around the yard and he really seems to enjoy being outside. He stayed awake on two of his walks this week. I continue to try to give him time to play by himself, but it only lasts a few minutes right now.

Well, Derick is asleep, so I am going to head for bed too. Cheers to all!
