Happy 6th Birthday, Derick

Our lil man turned 6 on Saturday, April 14th!  Where has the time flown?  We had a wonderful day of celebrating together.  It started with watching the video of the first week of his life.  It was fun to see the house from years ago and notice the differences (and what's stayed the same).  We loved seeing little Derick's face, in baby form.

Then, Daddy took the kids to cousin Lucas's party while I finished getting the house ready for Derick's Lego Star Wars party.  We had a wonderful time with family and friends.  Derick was highly involved in choosing the guest list, this year, and for the first time, we invited his friends from school.  It was new and different for mommy, and quite enjoyable to meet the families/kids that we hear so much about.

After the party, we headed out for Derick's birthday dinner.  This year, he chose The Rock Wood Fired Pizza.  Oh, thank you buddy!  Mommy's favorite too!  Dinner was great-we all came home stuffed and ready to chill out and get some rest. 

You could tell that Derick really enjoyed his special day and was feeling the love.  When asked how his birthday was, he replied, "It was AWESOME!"
