2012 Holidays

Ok, I'm WAY behind on the blog...but I have a fairly good reason...my pc went down again!  This time, burning out right while Jeremy was nearby to see the action.  Sigh.  After two months, I finally unplugged the removable hard drive (where my photos are stored) and am going to try to catch up on all the news.

Caroling
One of our favorite traditions!  We gathered with some of the Peery/Bartholomew family and friends at Kellie's house and braved the rain to sing to our loved ones.  Then we all piled back into Kellie's warm house and ate treats.
Christmas Eve
The Peery/Bartholomew family gathers at the Issaquah Senior Center for a big potluck dinner.  We always have lots of yummies to eat and while we digest, Santa comes with presents for the kids.  As always, it's a fun filled evening.  Family means so much to us!
 Christmas Day
J2D2 shared a lovely morning opening gifts from Santa and each other.  Legos, books, and clothes seemed to be the theme of this years gifting.
After opening the tree, we got all showered up and headed to my sister's for brunch with the Sommerdorfs.  Lots more spoilage came our way as we enjoyed each other and our gifts.  The meal was fantastic, as always.
After a fun afternoon, we headed back to Renton to enjoy one more meal with family.  Brother Timmy hosted the Peery family this year, at his rental home near Hazen high school.  It was a treat to have him host, with Judi cooking the turkey in his kitchen.  With Jake and Theresa in Texas and Josh and Nikanne in Florida for the holiday this year, it was a much smaller group.  However, we still had lots of wonderful food and then did a smaller version of the white elephant exchange.  It was fun to visit and laugh together.
Jeremy took the week between Christmas and New years, off.  So, after all that eating and visiting, it was nice to take a few days of quiet to restore the household and organize all the new gifts.
