Our sweet lil Darla has been taking her first dance class at the Renton Community Center. She attended with her friend Payton and a few other lil ladies once a week, from January though May. At the end of May, all the classes held a recital to share their talents with family and friends. I wasn't able to attend the recital, but I didn't want my schedule to stop Darla from doing something she clearly enjoys. I have to give HUGE props to my Mom, Auntie Rachel, and Jeremy for stepping up and making the rehearsal and recital go so smoothly for Darla. She was a beautiful ballerina! Jeremy was sweet enough to video tape her performance and lots of photos were taken by the rest of the family.
I was pleased that I got to get Darla all dressed up and pretty for her professional photos with her class the week before the recital. Darla and Payton are so pretty!
Nonna, Jordan, and Rachel getting Darla ready of the day of her recital. There were STRICT orders from the organizers of the event: NO flash photos during the dance. So, all of these are before or after. But you can see how pretty the ladies looked.
Flowers for Darla and Cousin Jewel, from Papa Lonnie.
Cookie face!
After the recital, the family all went out for lunch at Red Robin. Papa Lonnie with his ballerinas!
Both Darla and I miss dance class, now that it's done for the summer. We can't wait for fall!
