Bird Feeder Fun

It's a well known fact that I love birds. They bring me such joy and pleasure when I see them in my yard and at the bird feeders. Yesterday, I was having a pretty low day and kept watching out the window. All of a sudden, a flash of yellow caught my eye. We don't get many bright colors around our feeder, so I was surprised to see this guy hanging out in our cherry tree. It's an Evening Grosbeak and one of the prettiest birds I've seen in my own yard. Then, he was joined by his mate and another couple. I was in awe and so happy to have been able to snap a picture of them.

Then, a Purple Finch male and female joined the party. I loved it and they all lifted my spirits and brightened my day.
