Tiger Mtn.

Jenn and I tackled Tiger Mountain this morning....in the pouring rain. It was our last big training session before next weekend's race to the top of Mt Constitution on Orcas Island. While it wasn't even close to 15 miles today, big growth was accomplished for me. We made it to the top in 90 minutes, had a 10 min break to feed ourselves and the birds (they were eating RIGHT out of our hands!) before heading back down in 60 mins. Total trail time was 2 hours and 40 mins. I had to climb over a whole bunch of mental walls and emotional spikes, today. I'm defiantly feeling the changes in my chemistry right now. Today, I managed it. It was a success and coming down the trail felt so GOOD!! It was euphoria. I was able to soak up the energy of the beauty around me, lean on my friend when I wanted to give up, and then laughed like a crazy woman as I ran downhill! I was so glad to be there with Jenn and so proud of myself for pushing on through. I'm nervous and excited for next weekend, but I'm also ready. Bring it!!!
